The picturesque Peak District, from the Staffordshire Moorlands to the historic spa town of Buxton, is where you’ll find many pretty towns and villages to stroll; miles of walking and cycle trails are also within easy reach.
For those of you who crave a bit of retail therapy every now and then, Stafford is a thriving, bustling market town where you’ll find most of the major shops. There is also a cinema and theatre in the town, a municipal and a private fitness centre and a diverse range of bars, restaurants and coffee houses. You’ll also find three large supermarket chains (Marks and Spencer, Asda, Tesco and Sainsburys) in the town.
The towns of Lichfield and Burton-upon-Trent are also within easy reach. Why not visit the Bass Museum in Burton or the magnificent cathedral in Lichfield? Birthplace of Samuel Johnson and Erasmus Darwin, the city also has many interesting museums to explore.

Good train links from Stafford will take you to Wolverhampton in about 15 minutes and to the centre of Birmingham and Manchester in about half an hour. There is also easy access to the M6, providing links to both Manchester and Birmingham in under an hour.
